Hello. I’m still new to Shopify and figuring things out but I’m comfortable with working directly at the code level. I recently created an alternative product template because I want a unique landing page for a certain product. I still want, however, the product to use the default product template so it shows up in a standard way. Using the products admin you can only assign a single product template to each product.
One way around this is to duplicate the product and assign the duplicate product to the new template but in some cases the product is imported from an integrator (Carro in this case) and the products are not allowed (I checked) to be duplicated and retain their field values.
Therefore, I’m wondering what the common approach is to solve this problem given the infrastructure. I was thinking perhaps about creating a page template and inserting my product template of choice but I’m not sure how to do that or if it even makes sense.
