Does customer confirmation email include gift card details?

On occasion, a customer will email me saying they didn’t receive their gift card (even though it’s emailed to them right away.) Does their confirmation email include the gift card details or is that a separate email they receive? I want to be able to look up their history and confirm the email address the gc was sent to. Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I’m happy to provide some assistance with notifications, to ensure this gets resolved.

To share some insight, both gift card notifications (i.e Gift Card Issued and Gift Card Confirmation) include the details and code to be used within your shop. To preview these notifications, you can head into the Notification section of the Shopify admin.

More specifically, you can:

  • Head into Settings > Notifications, from the Shopify admin.
  • Locate the Gift Card section.
  • Select the notification you’d like to preview (i.e Gift Card Issued or Gift Card Confirmation).
