Hello shopify I will like to start a small shop and sell things but I don’t know really what I will sell yet but I don’t know if I have to ship the item or some one takes it and ships it

While we don’t ship consumer products ourselves here at Shopify, you can decide for yourself what it is you want to sell in your store.

Some merchants don’t hold product inventory themselves, but rather sell directly from the supplier to their customers which is a practice known as dropshipping.
Check out our Ultimate Guide to Dropshipping here to learn all about how this works.
It would be up to you, in the end, to decide if you want to source and ship your own products, or if you’d prefer to look for a dropshipping product niche if holding inventory does not work for you.
