Hi All, I am new on shopify. Can anybody tell if shopify have their own logistics partner or the sellers have to do self shipping of their orders.
Hi @Ahmed7861 ,
Shopify doesn’t have their own logistics partners, so as a seller, you are responsible for managing your own shipping. However, Shopify does have negotiated discounts with some major carriers, so you can access their discounts. You can print labels directly from Shopify. The discounts and carriers are different depending on which country you are based in. You can learn more about this here.
Alternatively, you can use a third-party subscription service, like Stamps.com or ShipStation to access rates from multiple carriers in one system.
You can also set up direct accounts with major carriers like FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc. to get your own discounted rates. Most of these carriers also offer ‘standard’ (or public) rates that don’t require an account.
If you want to use a smaller or local carrier, or a 3PL, you would need to establish that relationship.
Best regards,
Hey,
Shopify has SFN and some official 3PL partners. They also provide discounted rates natively. Another awesome, free resource is pirateship.com. If you are doing hundreds of orders a month and want a better, automated solution - feel free to reach out.
