I keep trying to edit the wording on my product descriptions and when I save the changes, it says saved, then when I exit and go back in they have just instantly reverted back to the original text, how do I fix this ?
Hi there, @Benjamin24 . Thanks for reaching out to the Shopify Community with your description situation here.
I see this pretty often actually! What’s likely happening here is that your browser that you’re using has saved data versions of your product pages, so after you make your updates and visit the pages, the older data appears. If you clear your cache and cookies for your browser, or use a different browser/browser to check out the product page, the descriptions should be what was saved.
Give the steps I’ve bolded for you there a try and let me know if the changes end up appearing.
What sort of information are you looking to include in your Product Descriptions? These are a big part of your store’s SEO and have a big role with conversion, so having great descriptions is key! I have a document here that goes over how to make some awesome descriptions for your products.

Clearing cache doesn’t help at all…
Thanks for your reply, and we appreciate you trying those troubleshooting steps.
Could you let us know what kind of browser and device you’re currently using? I’ve tried replicating this issue on desktop and mobile by editing my product description(s), but I’m unable to produce the same error.
I am having the same problem as well. It does it even on an incognito screen. Definitely not related to cache. I had to do a workaround while I had Shopify support force sync a change to our site. The workaround was to edit the description in the code view by clicking the code button as shown below. I would reach out to Shopify help so that they can force push a fix to your admin side.
