Why do product description changes not save permanently?

When I make a change to a product description and save, the changes appear to have saved and show up on the store site, however, after a few minutes the changes are gone and it reverts back to the old description. I have tried many different ways to clear, delete, clear formatting, and the problems persists.

We’ll want to investigate this further as changes shouldn’t be reverting once saved. Our Technical Support can check the logs to see where the issue is but will require that you supply an estimated time for when you edited the product and when you see it was changed. Timeframes (the smaller the better) will be required in order for our teams to review the logs.

You can contact Shopify Support by logging into your store through the help center, searching your question/issue, then selecting “continue” at the bottom of the page that displays the search results.

I just made a change to the product “1-Book Kit” at approximately 2:54 pm MST saved, exited, opened the product again and I saw it “revert” maybe 30 seconds after I made the changes.

Issue Summary: Product description changes are not saving, reverting back to the previous version. Escalate to TMS so they can check the logs to see where the issue is.

Example: Change made to the product “1-Book Kit” at approximately 2:54 pm MST saved, exited, opened the product again, and saw it revert approximately 30 seconds after the changes were made.

We have this issue all the time!!! I have complained about it before. This system is absolutely worthless if our work is not saved. What is being done about this?

Yes, we did. Shopify support was able to identify that our issue was caused by a page builder app we are using. Once they found the issue, it was an easy fix. Best of luck to you!
