Email Forwarding - Email forwarding is not allowed for this domain

Hi all,

I recently registered my new domain through Shopify and have set up Zoho as my mail provider.

When I try and add the required MX records to my domain I receive the following error:

“Email forwarding is not allowed for this domain”

Any help is much appreciated!

No not yet.
I spoke with support and they said it was an issue with a recent upgrade to their domain server. They told me to try again today, but I still haven’t had any luck with it

Same issue here - 2 days passed by today.

Same we littery pay this company a bleep ton while they dont even have this in place for love of god

They have it in place, however there seems to be an issue with it according to the helpdesk. I haven’t been able to resolve this yet. No updates from them either.

I’m facing the same issue guys. I cannot validate the MX-records of Zoho in my Shopify domain settings. I’d be glad to hear if someone has a solution for this!

The solution would be if we all start spamming live chat with the same issue maybe then they will wake up

It’s beceause Starting December 2024, the Email Hosting & Forwarding feature has been disabled for all new domain purchases.

I’m having the very same issue, I cannot add any MX record nor setup third-party email hosting (Google Workplace).

Very annoying, I wish I had bought the domain on Google Workplace instead…

Talking to shopify support right now, I will update all of you!
