I keep getting an error message that says “Something went wrong while printing your documents. Try again later.” while trying to print shipping labels. I have already cleared my cookies/cache in the web browser, and checked the status on the shopify status page, but the site still won’t generate the pdf of labels. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Im having the same problem too. something that has never happened to me in three years. Let me know of you solve it!
Us too- waiting for a Shopify admin to join the chat.
I’m sorry you’re dealing with it too but also a little glad I’m not the only one. Hopefully we hear back from them soon!
Hi everyone, thanks for reaching out and posting in our Community Forums about this.
We haven’t had any other reports about this, but it’s odd to hear that it’s happening to all three of you at this time. We may require you to submit a support ticket about this, so that our internal teams can be made aware of this issue and investigate whether or not it is a widespread one. But to start off with and if you haven’t already done so, can you please follow the steps below, so that we can rule out any potential browser or device caching issues?
- Try to login to your Shopify admin to print the shipping labels via an incognito window
- Or, you can use your usual browser but to clear the browser’s cookies and cache prior to accessing your Shopify admin again
- You can also try another browser. For example, if you’re using Safari, you can try on Chrome or Firefox
- You can also try to use another device, such as a different laptop or computer, if you have access to one
If you’re still running into the same error message after following the steps above, please contact our live support team so that we can securely access your account to investigate this matter in more detail from our end. Where required, our live support team can also get in touch with our internal shipping team on your behalf, so that our shipping team can further inspect the errors.
To get in touch with our team, you’ll need to login to your store via our Help Center here. Once logged in, select a topic that best fits your query or situation. From there, you’ll be taken to a page with a list of relevant support articles, and you can scroll to the bottom of that page to select your preferred contact method with our team. Our live support team will be able to assist you further from there.
same issue here. It seems as this started happening with the new desktop version update
Thanks for joining this thread and letting us know, @BooCocky .
I’d like for our internal support team to investigate this in more detail from our end, in case there’s a deeper platform issue at play here.
So if you haven’t already done so, please contact our live support team via the Help Center, and by following the instructions in my initial reply, so that we can closely analyze this situation from our end.
Hello! I had tried the incognito window & clearing my cookies/cache before posting, but the error persisted. It seemed to fix itself about 30 minutes after the issue started, and I was able to generate the labels from the original window with no problems. If it happens again I’ll contact the live support team. Thanks!
I am getting this issue now when trying to bulk print labels. I get the error message “There is an issue generating your documents for printing. Please try again.”
I can print them individually, but this is not practical. I messaged Shopify support 3 days ago, they said it is an ongoing issue and will be fixed within 12 hours. I messaged again yesterday but no reply.
