Facebook Ads Manager not recognising purchases

My store has made 5 sales through Facebook ads since and I know this for sure since that is the only way I use to bring trafic to my store.

However, 2 out of the last 5 purchases were not recorded on my Ads Manager, but when I got to Channel Performance for Facebook ads on Shopify, these purchases were recognised correctly, the problem is that I can’t figure out winning ad sets if I can’t see which one of them is making sales.

Furthermore out of 2 unrecognised purchases one was 14 days ago therefore I am excluding the possibility that “it just takes time for ads manager to update”

My Pixel should be installed correctly since in my Events Manager on Facebook I can see these purchases happening at their correct times, also pixel helper is indicating that everything should be set up correctly.

So by analysing these symptoms can anyone help me figure out why ads manager is not showing sales made by ads?

Hi @Guappapito

To check which ad set is performing better, make sure to include conversion-related metrics such as “Website Purchases” or the specific conversion event you are tracking (e.g., “Lead” or “Add to Cart”). Also, review the data in the ad sets table. Look for the ad sets with the highest conversions or the best conversion rates, depending on your goals.

You can also confirm that your tracking pixel is correctly placed on all relevant pages, especially on the page where the conversion event occurs.

Please let me know if you want us to look at your Facebook ads account so we can dig deeper.

Have you solved the problem? When yes how? Because I’m facing the exact same problem.

Hello. I am having a similar issue. Ads Manager is not reporting any Purchases, but when I go into the Events Manager and look at the pixel set for the ad sets, it show Purchases, but the ad set grid report does not. There are now 87 Add to Carts in the last 30 days, but no Purchases showing.

My concern is that Meta is not optimizing for Purchases and just throwing spaghetti at the wall, wasting money.

Please help.

Hi, have you solved the problem? I got the same issue going on.

My setup its all ok but Meta reporting only shows 40% of the purchases on Shopify, and Meta is the only channel we use to generate traffic with sales campaigns.

:locked_with_key: Are you struggling to generate sales in the Facebook ADS after a few weeks? :cross_mark: ZERO sales in Facebook ads, But Millions $$$ Question is why? :hammer_and_wrench: What are the solutions? :right_arrow:Okay, let me break down the issues. :right_arrow:Ad Fatigue: After a few days, audiences may become desensitized to the same ads, leading to decreased engagement and conversions. This is often referred to as ad fatigue, where the same creative loses its effectiveness over time. :right_arrow:Target Audience Issues: If the audience is not well-defined or too narrow, the ads may initially reach interested users but fail to sustain interest as the same users are targeted repeatedly. This can lead to diminishing returns on ad spend :right_arrow:Landing Page Optimization: A landing page that is not optimized for conversions can result in high click-through rates but low conversion rates. If users find the landing page confusing or unappealing, they are less likely to complete a purchase. :right_arrow:Budget Constraints: Insufficient ad spend can limit reach and frequency, which are crucial for maintaining visibility and engagement over time. A low budget may initially yield some sales but won’t sustain long-term performance. :right_arrow:Relevance Score: Facebook uses a relevance score to determine how well your ads resonate with your target audience. A low relevance score can lead to higher costs and reduced delivery of your ads. :right_arrow:Competition and Market Dynamics: Changes in competition or market demand can also affect ad performance. If competitors ramp up their advertising efforts, your ads may struggle to stand out #letsconnect #facebookads #googleads

Facing a similar situation, I see conversions but no value thought. Following this thread.
