The store will give away its profit, is it ready to advertise?

What feedback do you want?

can you please give me some feedback for my Home page and the concept? Im ready to start paying for ads but i would like some feedback first if possible.

Before paying for ads, make give away its profit precise on the homepage: who receives it, how profit is calculated, when it is donated, and where visitors can verify distributions. Also state clearly what products the store sells before explaining the mission.

For search visibility, use a unique homepage title and meta description with natural phrases describing both the products and the giving model.

Good and thoughtful ideas don’t always translate into success.

But I would suggest you keep giving and spreading your message. Walking with the camera pointing at the ground is not the way to do it. Be vocal. Be public. Do a real giveaway on FB. Do a free bbq after church and hand out flyers. Lead by example. If it catches, awesome! If not, don’t sweat it.

Before the homepage, check the numbers ads will have to work with. Most of your range sits between £7 and £35, and there is no Google Ads or Meta tag on the site yet.

Say a click costs 50p and 2 in 100 visitors buy. That is £25 of ads per order, more than most of these products sell for, before the product cost and the profit you want to give away.

What does an average order come to once someone checks out, one item or a few?

I’m sorry, but the overall design of the store feels too basic at the moment. It looks like the main focus was just adding products rather than building a well-designed, professional storefront. The site also isn’t fully responsive across devices.

I’d suggest taking some more time to improve the overall design and user experience. You should also add some conversion boosters to the product pages, such as trust badges, clear shipping and return information, customer reviews, and other elements that help build trust and give customers a reason to buy from your store.

Before the ads go live, I’d fix two small things. The top bar reads “Paypal: £0.00 | Shopify: £2.66 | Bank: £3.00 | Cash: £10.00” with no label, so a new visitor won’t know it’s your giving tally. A heading like “Raised so far” solves that. On the drone page the option is called “Color” but lists 0.3MP, 720P, 1080P and 4K, all at £39.99. Rename it “Camera” and check the prices, since 0.3MP and 4K at the same price looks like a mistake. The “Estimated profit: £7.36” line is a lovely honest touch, I’d show it on every product. I only read the pages and didn’t test checkout.

Because the catalog spans very different product types, I wouldn’t judge ad performance from blended store-wide results. Start with one product category and send each ad to the matching collection or product page, then compare landing-page sessions, add-to-cart, checkout starts and purchases by source. That will show whether the problem is traffic fit or the page before you increase spend.

Congrats on the idea, the giving model is a nice hook. I went through the store pages, and a few things would cost you money once the ads start:

The product and collection pages have no meta descriptions, and some titles are still the supplier text, like “cross-border-foreign-trade-hot-wholesale… hoodie” at 79 characters. A short title and one sentence per product fixes it.

There are no breadcrumbs on the products, so someone landing from an ad can’t easily see the rest of the range.

Two smaller ones: the home page has two H1 headings and no og:image. And the contact page is very thin, and the blog is empty but still in the sitemap. I’d put a real address and a reply time on contact, and hide the blog until there is something in it.

Last, the home page is heavy: 474 KB of HTML, 99 scripts and 97 images, five without alt text. Worth trimming before paying for clicks. Good luck with it.

Hello, thanks for the advice, do you have any tips on improving the design? im new to shopify. you are right ive just been adding products over the last few days. I appreciate any advice

Since you asked about design specifically, here’s what I’d change in the theme editor (Online Store > Themes > Customize), in this order. It’s about an hour of work:

Hero: one image and one line that says what you sell plus the promise, e.g. “Useful pet, car and home products. Every penny of profit is given away.” One button: “Shop bestsellers”.

How it works: right under the hero, a 3-column block (the “Multicolumn” section): You buy > We count the profit > We give it away, with a link to your proof page. This can replace the PayPal / Shopify / Bank / Cash figures in the top bar, which confuse more than they reassure.

Categories: a “Collection list” section with 3-4 categories (Pets, Car, Home, Clothing) using real product photos, instead of “Featured product” twice plus “Random products”.

Remove empty bits: FAQ questions without answers (or fill them in), the sponsors block showing £0.00, and the empty blog.

Buttons: “Choose” shows on products that have variants, “Add” on the rest. Making the variant products open the product page with a clear “Add to cart” keeps it consistent.

Phone check: open the homepage on your phone. The headline should be readable without zooming and a product should be visible after one scroll.

Happy to take another look once it’s changed.
