Flooded with fake subscribe e-mails

Recently I’ve been flooded with fake subscribers. Any tips on how to stop that? Thanks. The spam is prolific. Every day I have to delete hundreds of identical e-mails that have no name but something like this: josdoiufhojsldkjfl

Hi! Fake signups are so annoying and depending on your email marketing provider can get expensive.

In general here are several things to help reduce this.

  • Use Double OptIn
  • Using reCAPTCHA is a great option.
  • Create a segment based on the characteristics of the email addresses like the example you listed to above to remove them. If you use Mailchimp here is a tutorial to accomplish it. https://mailchimp.com/help/about-fake-signups/

I would advise for you to reach out to your email marketing provider for guidance.
