I have free shipping for orders over $150, applied to all products. It’s been working just fine historically. We are running a discount code right now (which we’ve done in the past with no issue) and it’s showing “Free Shipping Unlocked!” as a banner during checkout, but still charges the $25 shipping fee. Any idea what might be going on?
Sometimes, applying a discount can affect the total cart value, making it drop below the $150 threshold after the discount is applied. Shopify might still show the “Free Shipping Unlocked!” banner, but the shipping fee will be charged based on the discounted total. Double-check the settings to ensure the free shipping rule applies to the original total before discounts.
Hi there! Thanks for your comment. It doesn’t matter if the cart total is $500 after the discount, it is still showing the shipping charge, which is why it’s so confusing. I’ve been chatting with Shopify support and nobody seems to have an answer…so if you have other ideas, I’d love to hear them!
@NC_2 , are you using a third-party app to display the “Free Shipping Unlocked!”? Maybe the display is setup, but the actual discount is not setup? Do you see any active shipping discounts in your admin?
