Gift with Purchase with a Order Value Threshold

Hi there -

I am simultaneously running a 25% off sitewide sale and a free GWP (choice of one of two products) with $200 order. I am using the Giftbox app to support this promotion. Both promotions are attached to the same promo code.

If a client qualifies for the gift before they add the promo code, they are prompted to select a free gift and the item is added to cart. However, if they then add the 25% off promo code and their order falls below $200, the free gift remains in the cart. It is not removed.

Is there a way to correct this experience with an app or with native Shopify functionality?
