Google Merchant Center (linked to a Shopify store) flags 514 products with missing required attributes: Age group, Gender, Size, Color, and product identifiers (GTIN, MPN, Brand). The store is dropshipping and reports no GTIN/MPN and difficulty finding/using the feed in the new Google Merchant Center Next (GMC Next) interface.
Guidance provided:
If a manufacturer barcode exists: include GTIN and Brand, set identifier_exists = yes.
If no barcode exists: remove Brand/MPN/GTIN and set identifier_exists = no.
Resources shared include multiple Google support articles and a how-to video for applying feed rules; an updated video specifically for GMC Next was later provided. (GTIN = Global Trade Item Number; MPN = Manufacturer Part Number.)
One participant questioned whether feed rules can still be applied in GMC Next; the response asserted they do work if values are correct and referenced the updated video.
Outcome/status: No confirmed resolution from the original poster. Next steps are to populate required apparel attributes (Age group, Gender, Size, Color) and configure identifier rules via GMC Next feed rules, using the linked guides/videos.

I am having issues with google merchant center. I have connected my shopify store and it says I have the following issues:
Missing Value: Age Group
Missing Value: Gender
Missing Value: Size
Missing GTIP, MPN, Brand
Missing: Color
I am a dropshipping store, so there is no GTIP or MPN. I tried to manually configure the feed but I cant even find feed on my merchant center, it is different to the old one.
It says all of my products are error which would be 514. How on earth do I fix this?
If a manufacturer has assigned a barcode then you are required to add this info in the GTIN field. Alongside the brand value with identifier exists to yes.
If the manufacturer has not assigned a barcode, then remove the values brand, mpn and gtin and set identifier exists to no.
Here is a guide how to apply the rules using feed rules:
Did you find a solution finally? I’m in the same situation as a drop shipper and to apply feed rules in Google Merchant Center Next is not possible anymore…
