I am using DSers for dropshipping & i do not have GTIN or MPN & google merchant centre needs that

Hello Everyone,

I am getting an issue in using google merchant centre, they have been asking for the GTIN or MPN, but i do not have GTIN or MPN and i am using DSers for dropshipping. Can anyone Please Help me in getting this problem solve ?

If you don’t have barcode, then follow the guide here: https://youtu.be/AyvilyMb2Bo?t=208

What you need to do is remove the brands value, and set identifier exists to no

Hi, @MohitTomar .

Greetings, and thanks for posting.

Generally, when using dropshipping apps the GTIN or MPN isn’t provided. That being said, you can definitely reach out to the suppliers to request the numbers as some products do have these numbers associated to them.

However, if the products do not have a GTIN, you would need to follow @EmmanuelFlossie 's advice by removing the brand’s value and setting ‘identifier exists’ to no in Google Merchant Center.

In the meantime, I’d love to learn more about your dropshipping store. What products are you selling? If you haven’t already, make sure you set a niche for your store. One of the biggest issues I see with dropshippers is selling too many products that don’t align with each other. Hello this fix works with Google Merchant Center, do you have a video for the new interface Google Merchant Center Next. Where do you change the rules within this interface?

Currently feed rules are not available in the GMC Next version, because its new and Google did not add all the features yet.

Based on what I see, I only have standard access to my clients accounts as these are not my main clients. I am not sure if admin access shows different things. I recommend you look around in the account. When I have access to an account as an admin I will check again and create a new video.

If you can not fix the issue, you may also want to use a data feed app that you can edit at source, such as: https://apps.shopify.com/multiple-google-shopping-feeds

Hi Emmanuel, since posting have you come across any update on this ? I’m running into this now. When you wrote last, the new merchant center next was still new and did not have feed rules features. Have you discovered how to handle this task in next ? I guess the next question is, should I switch back to classic view ?

GMC Next currently does not have feed rules, so yes switching to classic mode is the only option as of writing.

Hi; just wanted to ask the following, if I set it on “NO” will my ads or page be at risk by advertising…? I don’t know the codes, I use Zendrop, but the products are not unique, I don’t make them myself…

First, check with the manufacturer, if barcodes exist.

I don’t know what you mean by, at risk. But you just need to follow the policies, and if you do, you will be fine.

If they don’t exist, then follow the following steps.

Hi Emmanuel

I was wondering if this is still the same situation? I have GMC Next and I do have a store set up so if I wanna switch to classic it says following:
Before switching to classic Merchant Center, remove any stores you added to Merchant Center Next.

View stores: Revoke the Google Business Profile access you granted to Business Manager. Go to Business Manager

I am facing the same issue with the MPN since I do dropshipping and have over 100 products with 500 variants overall → so it is a pain in the *** to manually enter all the MPN’s.

I look forward to your reply since you seem to be a real expert in this matter.

No need to revert back to GMC Classic, you can follow the GMC Next instructions below:
