I’m assuming this was spam as there is nothing on my admin side that has announced the supposed necessary changes to continue receiving payouts (email claims payouts will cease by Jan 31 unless certain forms are filled out)
However, I’m curious if this phishing email was widespread in the Shopify community

Most likely, if we need forms filled out or information for you, you will see this on the home page of your admin. First, I would check the sender’s email; you can usually tell by the address if it is from Shopify or not. If you are still unsure or believe it is a phishing email, please forward the email to safety@shopify.com along with the headers so our team is alerted and can look into this.
