Connect the account you’ll use to tag products. You’ll only see accounts that are owned by the connected Business Manager and connected to the Facebook Page.
I have almost finished setting up Instagram Shopping and this is the third from bottom option. I have no idea where to go from here or why I am illegible.
I have a verified Insta acc. A linked to Fb account. All marries up. What am I missing? It doesn’t tell you.
All it says is Instagram Shopping is not available for this account but I DON’T KNOW WHY and it doesn’t tell you!
Thanks for sharing your question here in the community.
I understand you’re in the process of setting up Instagram Shopping on your Shopify store but are seeing the error message that you’re not eligible. You mentioned that your Facebook account is connected and you’ve followed all steps.
In order to have Instagram Shopping enabled, you’ll need to ensure that you’re located in a country or region that is supported by Instagram. Secondly, you’ll want to make sure that your products meet the product requirements for selling on the Facebook sales channel. Your products also need to be set as available on the Facebook sales channel. Could you also ensure that your Instagram account is set to an Instagram Business Account?
In the meantime, I recommend looking into the app Instafeed- Instagram Feed. This app displays your Instagram feed content directly on your store. You’re able to display custom shoppable Instagram content, drive users to your Instagram page and customize how your posts are displayed.
I’ll also share our Shopify Blog resource for some of the best social media tools to help you create a marketing campaign. This can help with driving traffic to your store and help boost sales and brand visibility.
Let us know if you have any questions. I’ll be happy to take a look!
This issue may likely be a catalog issue and it is not connected properly. You need to be the admin of both the Facebook Business Manager, Facebook Ad account and Instagram account. These accounts need to be administrated under the same Business Manager.
Within your Facebook Commerce Manager account, could you confirm the following:
Your Instagram account is set to Visible instead of Invisible with the Business Manager > Settings > Business Assets.
Your Facebook Page settings have the same Instagram account connected as the one you are using, and that it’s the same Page connected in the Facebook Channel.
Your Instagram account you’re using in the Instagram app is the same Instagram account as what’s connected in the Facebook Channel.
The Facebook Page connected in the Instagram app is the same Page in the Facebook Channel.
Your Instagram account is connected to the Business Manager connected in the Facebook Channel.
That you have selected the same catalog in the Instagram app that the Facebook Channel uses.
