A vote from me too - I am trying to communicate the recent GTM outage to the wider team but have no reference data from historical outage.

We had the same problem, so we built a Shopify app to solve it!

In our app Uptime you can track the Shopify status in real time, and get alerted if they report any issues. You can also view historical Shopify outage history directly inside the app.

They deprecated the RSS Feeds in 2020!!! Rediculous, we need to get PUSHED notifications once services degrade…and you deprecated it?

As part of this move to store-specific status updates, subscriptions to updates (SMS alerts and RSS feed) have been deprecated. Overall status and major outages will continue to be posted to the public shopifystatus.com page.

As a workaround - you can use the Alertly app, that sends the notifications about outages to sms/slack/etc, among other features.

So you’ll be able to retrospectively look into outages that happened before.

Since no other reliable source of information exists, I ended up using https://downdetector.com/status/shopify/ which seemed to show exactly at what time today’s outage happened.

Better Stack lets you monitor it and get SMS, Email and other types of notifications, really useful even on the free plan!
