Horizon Theme Variant Images as Swatches?

I notice on the new Horizon theme there’s an option to use variant images as swatches and even in the variant picker, we can enable swatches. However, no matter what I do, no images appear. Is this a bug or am I not setting something up correctly? I have the variant images set and have tried this across numerous client sites and brand new installs of Horizon.

I can’t. These are all private client sites and the variants are just showing as normal text.

This is exactly what I’m looking for! And I think I got it to work thank you!! It still seems a bit buggy, and I was only able to get it to work for “Color” but that’s exactly what I need it for right now.
