Shopify Payments accounts are mostly region-specific. So if you’d like to set up a Shopify Payments account for a different region to the one that you’re based in, you’ll need to submit your case to us so that this can be reviewed by the necessary internal teams.
There are certain conditions that you’ll need to meet, and documents that our teams will require from you. It’s important to note, though, that having the requested documents does not guarantee that you’ll be approved for Shopify Payments. Our internal specialist teams will ultimately make the call regarding supportability.
If you’d like to chat more about the requirements and processes in regards to applying for a Shopify Payments US account, you can reach out to our Live Support team via our Help Centre here. Once logged in, select a topic that best fits your query or situation. After that, you’ll be taken to a page with a list of relevant support articles, and you can scroll to the bottom of that page to select your preferred contact method with our team. From there, you’ll be connected with one of our Live Support team members, who will be able to provide further assistance. If eligible, they’ll also be able to help escalate your account for review to the necessary internal teams.
Apart from this, how are you getting on with your dropshipping business? If you haven’t already done so, I highly recommend verifying the products on your store, before you go ahead and sell them to your customers. You can do this by creating a test order on your store, which will allow you to not only check for the quality of the products from your suppliers, but also their shipping time. Feel free to have a read of our blogs below for more information on this, as well as other tips to further optimise your dropshipping strategies:
