How can I apply a 20% discount to all items in the cart with a gift card purchase?

Hi,

I want to create a promotion on my store, if a customer buys any value of a gift card and adds to cart, then they will get 20% off the value of the physical product in their total cart (discount doesn’t apply to gift card). At the moment when I set-up by X get Y (Buy a gift card and get 20% off your order) the 20% discount is only applying to the product of the lowest value in the cart not the whole cart.

How do I get the 20% discount to apply to all products in the cart and not just one product, when a gift card is added?

You can create this exact discount by using our app, Every Possible Discount.

Use Conditional Discount as the Discount Type.

For this custom solution you would need to have an app, or if you actually have Shopify plus then you can create a script for your cart to be able to get this done. Those would be your two options :slightly_smiling_face:
