Hi @fillitfree ,

There’re several things you should know before deleting your Shopify account:

  • You’ll Have To Pay Outstanding Charges

  • You Can Only Close Your Shopify Store Manually

  • You’ll Need To Cancel All Apps

  • You Need To Remove Custom Domains

Here’re the steps to deactivate your store:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Plan.

  2. Click Pause or deactivate store.

  3. If applicable, review the options to switch to the Pause and build plan, or start a new store.

  4. If you still want to deactivate, then click Deactivate store.

  5. Select a reason for the deactivation, and then click Continue.

  6. Enter your password, and then click Deactivate now.

Thanks for reaching out.

In order to close your Shopify account, you will need to login to your store. Once you successfully login, navigate to Settings > Plan > Deactivate store this will allow you to properly close down the online store. I took a screenshot of the section I am referring to:
