Hey, @lazycatfibers ! Welcome to Shopify Community!
Do you have a third-party domain or a Shopify domain? Third-party domains can simply be removed from your store, while Shopify domains need to be transferred to a different domain provider. Both of these methods need store access as they need to be actioned from your Shopify admin. Depending on the type of domain and your store status, you may need to contact our support team for assistance with your domain.
If you have a third-party domain, we can give you temporary access to remove it from your store. This is possible if your store is closed and does not have any outstanding invoices. If you have a third-party domain but your store is frozen and has an outstanding invoice, we can remove the domain on your behalf after we verify your domain ownership. You need to visit https://bit.ly/3cJkx8V and log in to your account to create a support request for either of these two options. If you’re unaware of your store status, our support team can determine it for you and advise which of the two methods needs to be done.
If you have a Shopify domain, we can also give you temporary access to your store to transfer the domain to a different provider. As mentioned previously, this can be done if your store is closed and does not have any outstanding invoices. If your store is frozen and has an outstanding invoice, you will need to settle the invoice by logging into your store to gain access and transfer the domain. If you don’t plan to continue with your Shopify store, you can then deactivate or close the store after initiating the transfer and request a possible refund. To request temporary access or a refund, you can visit https://bit.ly/3cJkx8V.
If you’re still unable to access the support page, please go through the following local troubleshooting steps and try to access the support page after each one to resolve the issue:
- Clear the cookies and cache of your browser. After this, completely reboot the browser.
- Try a different web browser, as well as an incognito window or private browsing window to rule out any browser issues. When using incognito, if you are still experiencing the error, confirm you have disabled browser extensions as these can change how the pages look.
- Ensure the web browser is up to date on the latest version.
- Try another device, such as another computer or mobile phone.
- Try another internet connection (switching to a cellular network on a phone rather than wifi, for example).
- Ensure you do not have any firewalls or pop-up blockers enabled on your device as these can interfere.
Please note you will need to take a few steps to get to the page where you can contact our support team. After visiting the link and successfully logging in, you’ll be prompted to enter the topic of your concern so we can connect you to the right articles and support team. Simply type in the topic, click Search then scroll down to the bottom of the page to click Continue under Get Support. You’ll then see the option to create a support ticket on the next page.
