How can I download a yearly transaction statement for accounting?

Hi

I am hoping that there is an easy way to download a yearly transaction statement that I can then give to my accountant. Just want to have the revenue of sales and shopify expenses for one year. I have looked around and I can only find a long list which isn’t very helpful!

To view and download a statement of charges (this includes your subscription plan, transaction fees, app billing, and taxes) you can do so by exporting this information via a CSV file. I’ll share the steps below on how to retrieve this information.

  • Head to your Shopify admin, Settings > Billing section.

  • Scroll down to Statement of Charges and select View Summary.

  • You can use the calendar to filter the date.

  • Select Export.

  • A CSV file will be sent to the email address that is associated with your login.

Please note: The Statement of Charges only shows data up to 90 days. If you need to view your expenses for a period of over 90 days, follow the steps below:

  • Go to Settings > Billing or Finances > Billing.
  • Scroll down to locate the card labelled ‘Recent bills’ and select the blue hyperlink that reads ‘View all billing history’.
  • Click on the text ‘Export CSV File’ located in the top right corner
  • Choose the option labelled ‘Bills by date’ and enter a specific date range.

To retrieve a finance report (this report includes sales, payments, liabilities and gross profit data for the selected time frame) follow the steps below:

  • From your Shopify admin, go to Analytics > Reports.
  • Click Categories.
  • Select Finances to filter the reports to show only finances reports.
  • In the Name column, click the Summary report.
