I am wanting a customer that gets to a product page with multiple variants to be forced to select a variant instead of one being selected by default.
My site with current functionality:
https://www.thirdteam.com/products/b-d-quadro-2-referee-flags
Ideally it would function like this:
https://www.nike.com/t/sportswear-club-mens-fleece-pullover-hoodie-ZwtpFm/DR0443-677
Also, is it possible to have the “Add to Cart” button be selectable, but when selected without any variant selected an error appears with something like “please choose options above” or something similar for a customer experience instead of not displaying any error and making the customer figure out why they can’t add the item to their cart?
I currently have a few apps that might be affecting this. One being a pre-sale app and the other being a bundle app.
I also have the complication of a few products on my website have a variant of “color” but I set it up on purpose with only one option, for example “black”. This was a work around for me to be able to display the color swatch on the collections page for these products. If I need to redo this setup to make the default variant piece work, I can. However I ideally like a way to make this work with either not needing to change the current setup, or maybe a different solution to display the color swatch on the collections page for some items.
