How can I import blog posts from WordPress to my e-commerce site?

Hi all - the documentation from Shopify says:

“Blog posts and articles
You can use the tools that are included in Shopify to migrate your blog posts and articles.”

However - they do not describe where these tools are located ??? Not very helpful.

Can someone describe where these import tools are in my Shopify site?

Hi @davidinottawa ,

Nick here from Shopify. Great question!

The tools for a migration such as this would probably be an app from the Shopify App store. There are a few different blog import apps you can look into for this, I also found a Wordpress Post feed which might be able to do directly what you want but it doesn’t say blog specifically. You can see the Simple WordPress PostFeed app here.

In case that can’t do what you want, there are some other blog import apps which I like below:

Can you let me know if any of those could work for you, please?

If not, I’m wondering if a Shopify Expert could assist you with this as a small task.

@davidinottawa Did you ever find a solution? I am looking to import my WordPress blog post to Shopify… And haven’t had any luck yet! I would love to hear if you have any insight!

Uhhh yes. It’s been so long though that I can’t remember how I did it :joy: I think I got on the phone or online chat with Shopify and they walked me through it maybe? I’d have to look back through stuff to remember!

That’s ok! I am hoping the “Simple Wordpress Post Feed” app will work… VS having to pay $99 for a migration app…

I didn’t use Simple (I didn’t want to pay a month fee)
I just haven’t really gotten around to finding a solutiuon… I manually imported but I am not sure that is worth the time and effort…
