Hey! So I’ve had my store running for about 3 weeks now and have not made any sells. I’ve had 1,275 store visitors but no sell! Can you please check out my store and let me know if there’s anything I need to improve on or any suggestions to help me make sells? I’ve ran ads on Facebook and still no luck!

Key recommendations from community members:
Trust & Credibility:
- Enhance the About Us page with more substantial content and better positioning
- Add a FAQ page to familiarize potential customers
- Incorporate social proof elements (customer reviews, testimonials) to demonstrate legitimacy
- Show evidence that the brand exists beyond the website through social media presence
Social Media Integration:
- Link social media accounts prominently on the homepage for easy access and validation
Sales Incentives:
- Consider using the Seal Subscriptions App to offer first-purchase discounts
- Provide extra incentives to encourage hesitant visitors to make their first purchase
Overall Assessment:
The store appears well-built but lacks trust indicators that reassure new customers. The discussion emphasizes that without visible social proof and external validation, visitors remain wary of making purchases.
Hi @NicolesImperial ,
Congratulations on building a great store! I do have a couple of suggestions:
- Your About Us page is a pretty important aspect of your store and deserves a little more content and better positioning:
We have 21 examples and templates for About Us pages that I recommend you look at. Similarly, you will want to look at our Buyer Trust 101 guide to ensure you’re including lots of trust indicators on your store, including social validation - in other words, really showcasing your social media presence and relying on it.
At the moment there is no evidence that your brand and products exist outside of this website, which can make visitors wary and mistrustful. You need to show that there are real people operating this shop, that other customers trust you and vouch for you, and that you have a presence in the world.
Hello @NicolesImperial I have gone through your store and I’ve been able to come up with a few suggestions I think you could find quite helpful.
-
There is an “About Us” page which has given nice information on your business but I think you should take an extra step and provide a FAQ page to help make your potential customers feel even more familiar.
-
I believe you already have accounts for the business on certain social media platforms and I think you should link those accounts in the homepage of your store for easy access of interested customers.
-
You mentioned you are yet to make a sale and I think I’m order to land your first one you might need to go an extra mile to draw people in. For this purpose, I suggest making use of an app that allows you to give discounts to your customers on their first purchase. This provides extra incentive for them to take a chance on you and your products. I recommend the Seal Subscriptions App for this purpose and you can install it here https://apps.shopify.com/seal-subscriptions
