How can I obtain customer tracking numbers for orders?

Hello! I’m so close to finishing up my shopify store after weeks but i cant find out how to do tracking number stuff. For example, I fulfill my customers order, but I don’t get a tracking number. I get the #1001,#1002,#1003 order numbers but not the tracking numbers. Does anybody know how I would be able to get my customers tracking numbers so i can send it to their email?

Your tracking information should be provided by the shipping provider fulfilling your orders. Are you buying your shipping labels from within your admin, or are you using a third party fulfillment/dropshipping service?

If you are using a fulfillment or dropshipping service they will be the ones to provide you with the tracking information, which you can then add to your order details for your customers to track.

You need to purchase a label from UPS or USPS through Shopify and that will
give you the tracking number.
