How can I set an inventory purchase limit for each product?

Hi, is there any way on how to set inventory limit to each purchased products?

Let’s say i have 100 different products added in my store, and then i need to set a limit purchased in each product to 100.

Product A with 150pcs inventory, then Costumer A purchased the Product A with 110pcs.

Now, if Costumer A exceeds the limit set 100pcs to a purchased products and it will show a notice “not allowed to purchased more than a 100pcs”.

is there an option from that in the shopify itself?

Please help…

I understand that you’re looking to set a maximum purchase limit on your products. While there isn’t a way to do this by default on Shopify, it is possible to accomplish this through custom coding. However, coding this type of functionality could mean ongoing work each time your product catalog changes. Instead, you may want to consider using a third-party app, like Order Limits - MinMaxify, as they can provide you with an interface that allows you to set different limits for each product more easily than coding. I’d love to hear more about your business! What kinds of products do you sell? Setting a purchase limit on your products could also potentially limit your sales, have you considered using quantity breaks to encourage customers to purchase set quantities instead?

Hi,

I found out a solution,

  • Login to your shopify account
  • Go to Online Store -->> Customize
  • Find this from the above,

  • Click dropdown and find “Products”

  • Click “Default product”
  • From Left Side Pane, look for “Product or Product Page” and then click
  • Then Go to Right Side Pane, and scroll all the way down and find “Theme Setting”

  • And then find this;

Now, my purchased limit products set to 99 in each customers.

It’s awesome to see that you were able to find a built-in solution on the Minimal theme for setting a quantity limit. While this built-in feature can allow you to set a default quantity limit, this doesn’t allow you to set different purchase limits for other products. If you’re looking to set different limits for your products, then I’d recommend taking a look at Order Limits - MinMaxify.
