How can I set up a payment gateway in Bangladesh for my online store?

Hey everyone,

I’ve completed my store last year and I’ve uploaded loads of products but till now I didn’t get any sales.
I had some problems with the store payment gateway settings.
As I live in Bangladesh, there’s no payment gateway except “2Checkout” and I have opened an account there a few months ago but they responded that they won’t be able to be of service for some reason.
As I don’t have a payment gateway, I’m not getting any sales on my store.
Please help me to solve this issue and establish a payment gateway.
Please note that in Bangladesh, only “Payoneer” has legal permissions to operate and handle transactions and Payoneer says they’re currently not operating in my region.
Please help me to setup a payment gateway for my store.

Hey masudkarim11, I’ve been through this exact problem with multiple clients
in Bangladesh, so let me share what actually works (as of 2025/2026).

Realistic options for BD:

  1. SSLCommerz Shopify plugin available, covers bKash + Nagad + cards.
    Fees ~2.5-3.5%, 3-7 day settlement, Installment fee. Approval takes
    3-5 business days with TIN/Trade License.

  2. ShurjoPay or AamarPay similar feature set, slightly lower fees (1.5-2%
    for AamarPay). Same paperwork required.

  3. Manual bKash/Nagad add a “send money to 01XXX” instruction on checkout,
    confirm manually. Works for low volume but breaks at scale.

2 Checkout will keep rejecting BD merchants it’s not worth chasing.

What I moved all my clients to recently: BDWallet (bdwallet.app). It’s a
Shopify custom app built for BD specifically. Adds bKash + Nagad directly
at checkout (no redirect), auto-sends prepaid SMS links on COD orders,
and has a cross-merchant fraud registry that flags phone numbers known
for fake orders. Free plan gives 10 transactions/month so you can test
it without paying anything. Setup is about 10 minutes inside the Shopify
admin no dev required.
