I am trying to set up email hosting but I go to my settings then click on my domain but there is no option to switch from email forwarding to email hosting. I’m not even sure if I’m doing any of it right or if I even need an email host. I have a personal email but on some sites I’ve tried to use they want a business email and not a personal email.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I’m happy to provide some assistance with this request, to ensure it gets resolved. To confirm I’m fully understanding, are you using a Shopify managed domain?
If so, you can set up an unlimited number of forwarding email addresses for the domain. This allows you to direct an email sent to one email address to a different email address. To learn more about this, you can check out our Email Hosting and Forwarding document as it touches on this further.
Shopify however, does not offer email hosting. To achieve this, you will want to use a third-party email hosting service. For ease, I’ve gone ahead and recommended a couple below that you can check out:
