I want to disable my store for a few months because I won’t be using it at the moment and I don’t have the money to pay the monthly subscription.
However, I don’t want to lose all the configuration I made on my store.
If I deactivate, will I lose everything?

If you choose to deactivate your store then you will no longer have access to the Shopify admin and your storefront will be taken offline, but we do guarantee that your data will be saved for two years. However, if you do decide to step away for a few months, I’d recommend exporting data you may wish to keep, such as your customers, orders, and products. You can also download copies of your theme files.
Once you decide to return to Shopify, you can log back in, pick a new subscription, and your store should be as you left it if you return within thw two-year window.
We do also offer merchants the option of saving money by moving to the Pause and Build plan, which costs $14 USD a month. This will allow you to retain access to your store’s admin but your checkout will be disabled. This is a great option for merchants who want to continue working on their store for a reduced cost while they are not actively selling. Your storefront will also remain online while on this plan.
