How can I uncheck my store password when in developer mode?

Can someone please help me. I am unable to uncheck my password from my store. I tried going to my Online store-themes-preferences. It shows my store is in developer mode which it is not because i already selected a plan.

In this situation, we think you haven’t transfer your development store properly yet. You may want to transfer it to partner mode. You can find the guidelines here

If you’re trying to remove your password from your online store, you can follow these steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes

  2. There is a banner displayed that says, “Your online store is password protected.” Click Remove password. If the banner is not displayed, then your online store is not password protected.

Thanks so much for reaching out here. I am curious if you purchased this store from a Shopify store developer? Or do you yourself work as a Shopify partner/store developer?

I ask because a store in “developer mode” suggests that this not an account that can be currently used as a live store. A development store is a free Shopify account that comes with limitations. It is used by Shopify Partners in order to test any themes or apps, or to set up a store for a client. It is in development mode in order to be built, before being changed into a regular account again before being transferred to the new account owner. If you did purchase this store from someone, then it would be best to reach out to this person and request for the store to be taken out of development mode as soon as possible. If you are having any trouble or problems with this, please do reach out here again to let me know.
