How do I correctly connect my Godaddy domain to an ecommerce platform?

I tried for several days to connect my Godaddy Domain to Shopify.

The same error came out every time. It’s "A and CNAME entered incorrectly."

Any help? I am getting frustrated after several days of trying to solve this problem.

if you made the change to your A record to point to Shopify’s IP address and the CNAME to point to yourstore.myshopify.com give it a few days. Sometimes it takes up to 72 hours for a domain name to probagate.

You can use this tool to type in your domain name to test: https://dnsmap.io/ It will show you all of the countries where the dns has not updated. Since Google is WorldWide and Shopify is in Canada, sometimes there are latency issues.

Next, you will want to use a other browser to login to Shopify. If you use Chrome, use Firefox instead, just for this connection. If you use FIrefox, use Chrome, and so on. Then test it again. It should work.

Lastly, if it doesn’t work, you can run a quick check of the dns here: https://tools.dnsstuff.com/ just type in your domain and see what’s listed.
