How do I transfer ownership of my online shop to my name?

So I finally turned 18 and open my shop when I was 17 under my moms information and was told I can change everything under my name once I was 18 such as put in my SSN so how to I change everything to my information plz help :slightly_smiling_face:

Happy Birthday! You are correct, you can now legally be the store owner for your store! You can see the steps for how to transfer store ownership below:

  1. Log in to your store as the store owner.

  2. From your Shopify admin, click Settings, and then click Users and permissions.

  3. Click Transfer ownership.

  4. Enter the email of the new store owner. If the new store owner isn’t existing staff, then you need to enter their name, too.

  5. Enter your password to confirm the change.

  6. Click Transfer store ownership.

This would be for the Account Owner, but with regards to changing the other information on the store such as the SSN and bank details, you will need to contact our support team. If you click the link here and login then speak to one of our advisors and they will get in touch with a member of our tax team to start the changeover process for you on this. You need to contact the support team for this to verify your details so the account is secure!
