How does the 'buy 1 get 50% off' auto discount work?

Hi There!

I tried searching to find my answer and couldn’t find it so I hope by posting someone can assist me. I have a couple of questions about using the buy x get y auto discount. My first question is if I am using the buy 1 get 50% off option, will the system automatically mark the lowest priced item 50% off? Second question is if I mark the maximum uses to 3 times per order does that mean the customer can buy three things at regular price and get three things at 50% off each?

  2. I believe that understanding of “maximum uses 3 times per order” is correct.
    Ex: If customers added 4 regular-priced items and 4 things that can be discounted, then only 3 things should be discounted.
