How to change incorrect shipping cost in Facebook Shop?

Topic summary

Shopify-connected Facebook/Instagram Shops are displaying an incorrect, flat shipping cost on Facebook product listings when checkout remains on Shopify. On desktop, listings show a default “standard” rate (reported as $10, $20, or even $35), and some see Facebook showing the most expensive international rate instead.

Key constraints and suspected cause:

  • Adjusting shipping settings appears to require enabling Facebook Checkout, which the original poster wants to avoid due to weight-based shipping tiers managed in Shopify.
  • Facebook support directed users to advertising-only help; another report says Facebook deferred to Shopify, while Shopify said it’s a Facebook issue.

Attempts and outcomes:

  • Live chat with Facebook yielded no fix; no viable workaround or setting was found without activating Facebook/Instagram Checkout.
  • A screenshot illustrates the desktop listing showing a $10 standard shipping note.

Status: Unresolved/ongoing. Open questions: how to change or hide Facebook’s displayed shipping cost when using Shopify checkout, and how to reflect correct weight-based or regional rates without enabling Facebook Checkout.

I currently link my Instagram & Facebook shops to my Shopify account, with all checking out done through Shopify. I’ve run into this problem with Facebook on desktop where it states I have a standard $10 shipping rate on all listings. Iff anything my standard costs are closer to $5. I imagine this was done by default, however I can find no way to change this setting, as I’m led to believe you must activate checkout on Facebook to make such adjustments (catch 22). I am live chatting with an fb rep now, and they claim they can only help with advertising issues. Anyone aware of this type of issue? Because I charge shipping by different weight categories, I feel activating FB/IG checkout will be overly complicated/not offer the shipping categories I require. Thanks!

Was this ever solved? I’m having the same issue, except my shipping seems to have been set at $35!! I have no idea how to resolve this.

I am also having this problem except it’s only showing my most expensive international shipping price! I have no idea how to fix it.

Also experiencing the same issue with mine being stuck at $20

We are having this same exact issue. Facebook said they are unable to help, and last time I spoke with Shopify, they said it was an issue that Facebook must resolve. Did anyone find a solution to this?

Ours is also showing the most expensive intl rate. Did you ever come to a solution?
