We have recently bought the domain EFX.co and are trying to connect our current website with it: apparelefx.com
Currently, we do not own this domain, but are allowed to use it. In order to connect this domain, we need to supply them with our Shopify Nameservers information, but I am unable to find any of that info anywhere. We have DNS settings applied to our current domain, which is why they requested the nameservers.
You shouldn’t need to disclose Nameservers in order to connect your domain, only minor adjustments to the DNS settings are necessary. Nameservers allow the domain to be searched publicly by associating a name with an IP, this won’t assist with having your domain point to Shopify - only a DNS edit will.
I’d highly recommend that you speak to the support service for your domain provider and inquire about DNS edits, and if it there is truly no domain panel, you’ll want to see what options there are for buying and transferring it to a new host that can allow you to do DNS edits, as this will benefit you in the future no matter which platform you choose.
If you would like to connect a third-party domain to your Shopify store, you need to first add your domain name to the Settings > Domains section in your Shopify admin. Next, you will need to edit the DNS settings in the domain host’s account to:
Point the A [email removed] record to Shopify’s IP address, which is 23.227.38.65
Tip: If you already own a custom domain and you want to manage all your domain settings from your Shopify admin, then you can transfer your domain to Shopify. After you transfer your domain to Shopify, you no longer need to use the third-party domain service where you originally bought the domain.
Let me know if you have any questions regarding this!
The original information this domain host requested from us was the following:
" In order to use the domain right away, you will need to send us the DNS settings that can be obtained from your webhosting provider."
Does this make sense? They own this current domain, until we have paid for it in full. We are currently trying to set it up, so we can atleast use the domain for the time being.

Adjusting these DNS settings will allow you to be able to use the domain, once you gain full ownership of the domain you can look into transferring it to Shopify for easier manageability.
