How to handle unfilled customer orders?

Before we begin, can you please provide me with some more context regarding the situation? For example, are you hoping to learn more about the fulfillment process? Was this an order that was placed in your store? Are you fulfilling the orders yourself or are you working with a Print on Demand/Dropshipping service?

Thank you for responding. I was told that (with the instructions that i were given) that dropshipping would take care of the order. Then he told me to put it in manually and it said ‘awaiting shipment’ but was never shipped
