How to limit Shopify account billing emails to the store owner only?

Hi Folks,

We have three users on our Shopify account. Suddenly all three have started receiving emails with bills associated with the account from billing@shopify.com. Such as bills for shipping charges, etc. We only want the actual owner of the store to receive these emails, but I can’t find any setting in the admin that deals with this. How can I stop these emails from going to everyone but the store owner? Thank you for any help or insight.

As my research, you can try to deal with this problem by following these steps below:

  • From your Shopify admin, click Settings, and then click Users and permissions.

  • Click on the staff you want to edit.

  • Uncheck the permissions " View billing and receive billing emails" as the picture I attached below.

  • Click Save

Thank you! My problem was that those options only show up in the account owner’s account. I was looking in my account (I’m not the account owner) and couldn’t find any way to do this.

Thank you for keeping me in the loop.

Sorry to hear about the problem you are dealing with.

I don’t think that the staff account could do this kind of thing. By default, staff have no permissions and need to be given permissions. There are some actions that only a store owner has permission to do so I might suggest that you should contact the owner to do this.
