Hello, I am using CJdropshipping to fulfill orders on my drop shipping website and have some shipping issues. I am trying to place a test order but any time I do it says "Order cannot be shipped to the selected address. I have tried everything including changing shipping rates and zones and I cant figure out how to fix it
Topic summary
Issue: Test orders with CJdropshipping in Shopify fail with “Order cannot be shipped to the selected address,” despite adjusting shipping rates/zones.
Early guidance: One suggestion was to contact CJdropshipping support; another user reported CJ support redirected them to Shopify, hinting at a “store shipping limit setting.” Some products shipped to the same address while most did not, raising questions about missing CJ shipping profiles or setup steps.
Root cause (user-discovered): Products/variants were not assigned to the CJdropshipping inventory location in Shopify.
Fix (in Shopify):
- For each affected product, set “Available inventory at:” to CJdropshipping.
- For each variant, set “Inventory will be stocked at” to CJdropshipping.
- Save, and repeat for all variants.
Outcome: This resolved the shipping-address error for the user who tested it; others had not yet confirmed. Open questions remain about whether CJ creates shipping profiles automatically or if manual setup is required. The thread trends toward resolution via correct inventory location assignment.
Contact CJDropshipping support
I am having the same trouble and they say to contact shopify support. They seem to think it’s something to do with the “store shipping limit setting”. I have doubts on that, as I have found that I have managed to add a couple of items and it doesn’t mind my address. It’s just the vast majority of the items seem to not like my address.
It seems like a cjdropshipping shipping profile wasn’t created when I connected my shopify with cjdropshipping. Do you know if this is supposed to happen? Or are we expected to manually create one?
In the meantime I will try and get my head around it all. Though I feel totally out of my depth at this point and close to throwing in the towel.
Did you figure this out?
I haven’t been able to figure it out yet ##- Please type your reply above

I’ve managed to figure it out just now (and there was no info online and cjdropshipping support weren’t able to help).
What you need to do, is go onto your shopify account and then go to “products”, click on the product that isn’t allowing your shipping address, then scroll down to “Available inventory at:” and select cjdropshipping.
Then click on each variant of the item (each size, colour etc) below that, and change the “inventory will be stocked at” location to cjdropshipping. Click save at the bottom and do the same again for each variant until they’re all changed to inventory stocked at cjdropshipping.
That has worked for me- let me know how you get on!
