Hi! I initially started setting up an online store with SquareSpace. I purchased my domain name through them. Since then, I moved over to Shopify. I contacted Square and they helped me disconnect my domain name from their site and I purchased it though go daddy. Now, I have it but I can’t seem to make it work. Caveat: I am not a web designer and do not have a lot of experience with technology, so be gentle! haha. I am attaching a screen shot of what my domain page says. Also, if I click on the domain or enter it into the browser, I get a 404 message and it originates from Square. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It is already disconnected. I’m attaching a screen shot. Then I thought maybe I should “choose the destination” for the domain but I am not sure if that is only if I am still using Square.
Hi, @rla1964 !
I’m happy to look into this with you.
If GoDaddy is the current host of your domain, you will want to follow the steps outlined in this help document to connect your third-party domain to your Shopify store. I also recommend navigating to the DNS record settings in your GoDaddy account and ensuring that the A Record is pointing to Shopify’s IP address which is 23.227.38.65, and that the CNAME record with the name www points to shops.myshopify.com. I found these guides from GoDaddy which has the instructions on how to do this:
Once you’ve done that, it may take up to 48 hours for the domain to be fully connected, but you should be all good from there. If you’re still having trouble then, please let me know and I’d be happy to take another look!
I hope this helps.
