Does anyone has set up a subscription for a product and would recommend a way of doing it ?
I have installed ReCharge, it works, unfortunately the customer doesn’t have to select a date before the customer pays. I know bold app would let customers pick a date before paying but bold is too expensive for us.

Outside of the apps in the Shopify App store another way you could look at getting a monthly subscription set up on your store is by having it custom made. You can hire a Shopify Expert to work on a once off project for it. You can see the full Shopify Expert directory here. I’d advise logging in and taking a look to see if you resonate with one you would work with! That is if you didn’t want to go down the route of using an app.

$50 can be substantially less than having to maintain custom theme code, or less expensive than you spending your finite time trying to find a work around.
When additional info such as dates are a key factor of a business and yet $50 makes or breaks the whole thing then the current business model and it’s process need a serious re-examination for fragility , overhead, and revenue generation.
