How to verify if someone is indeed a Shopify partner

I am trying to develop a Shopify e-commerce website for my retail store and need the help of an expert as it is for a very high number of products (10k+ products) and needs to be done quickly.

I have met an expert in my country (Morocco) who claims to be a Shopify partner. He offers his help for a substantial amount of money given that he is a Shopify partner. However, I cannot find any proof of himself or his company being mentioned anywhere on the Shopify website.

How do I verify if he is indeed a partner? Who can I reach out to who works at Shopify to ask about this person?

becoming a Shopify partner is very easy and does not provide any substantial proof of that person being a Shopify pro.

becoming an expert is a bit harder, as experts are vetted by Shopify. Every expert has their own listing at https://experts.shopify.com/. Ask him for his profile link. You should also be able to hire him through the Shopify marketplace then, which could give you a little more peace of mind.
