After being asked whether I could help create a Shopify store for the small Business I work for, I started thinking through how I’d approach it. The short answer is yes—and I see a real opportunity here to strengthen the company’s online presence. My first step would be to understand exactly what products or services we’d want to feature and how our current branding and customer experience can translate into a digital storefront. From there, I’d design a clean, user-friendly Shopify store that reflects our brand, showcases our products clearly, and makes it easy for customers to browse and buy. I’d also set up all the essentials: payment gateways, shipping settings, SEO-friendly product pages, and mobile responsiveness. How would i go about this? almost moving everything over onto shopify from their outdated website?

Hi @stheo ,
It sounds like you know exactly what you need to do, just that you don’t know how to execute everything properly or in what order. In general, I would recommend just starting with:
-
Sign up for a Shopify Account
-
Build out the product listings that you want to sell
-
Pick a theme to display the information and optimize that theme for your brand
There is obviously a lot more that you would need to set up, but I would start with that and then take each thing one step at a time. If you need help along the way, feel free to reach out to me using the email address/phone number in my signature.
