If you want to cancel your store, then you need to pause or deactivate your store. If you want to cancel your store during your free trial and you haven’t selected a subscription plan, then you don’t need to take any action. Your account will freeze at the end of your trial and you won’t be charged.

However, I am still being charged. The instructions to cancel via the settings do not appear. Only the pay your bill option.
Fortunately, my card expired or you would be charging me for nothing. I would like a complete refund and cancel any association with Shopify.
The major thing is when you try to find support it puts you in a loop that only takes you back to the same support page with no way to contact support other then community discussions. Why would I invest in a company that claims to have 24/7 support on the website but when you need it is non existent.

As mentioned in our Free Trial resource, if you’ve created a Shopify account and chosen a pricing plan during your free trial, then you’ll need to manually pause or deactivate your store to cancel your account.
I understand you’re unable to access the options to close your account from the Settings > Plan section of your store. Are you able to share a screenshot of the options presented to you?
Please note: Any outstanding balance that you might have on your account (like transaction fees, shipping label charges, or app subscriptions) will be charged during cancellation. If you have no outstanding charges against your account, then you won’t receive a final invoice. For more information about billing, refer to understanding your Shopify bill.
If you’re unable to close your account on your end or require assistance, I recommend getting in touch with our support team. I will share the steps below for better visibility.

- Log into your account via the Shopify Help Center.
