I dont want to be with shopify anymore. I have an account with etsy

your website is impossible. I can’t navigate your website. I’m with etsy. Opaque can you not charge my account again. I might seem petty but I want my $1.10 back. Cheers Opaque

Hi @Flimsy

It sounds like you’re frustrated, and I totally get it—unexpected charges and difficult navigation can be really annoying. If you want to stop being charged by Shopify, here’s what you should do to properly close your account and ensure you’re not billed again:

How to Close Your Shopify Account & Avoid Future Charges

1-Log into Your Shopify Admin Panel

2-Cancel Your Subscription

  • Click Settings (bottom left corner).
  • Go to Plan and then Deactivate Store.
  • Shopify might ask why you’re leaving—just select any reason and proceed.

3-Confirm the Deactivation

  • Shopify will show a final confirmation. Make sure to follow through until you see a message that says your store is deactivated.
  • Once done, Shopify won’t charge you anymore unless you reopen the store.

What About the $1.10 Charge?

If this was an unexpected charge, you can try requesting a refund:

1-Go to Shopify Support → Shopify Help Center

2-Click ‘Contact Support’

3-Explain the situation and request a refund

  • Shopify typically doesn’t refund small fees, but it doesn’t hurt to ask.
  • If you were charged after closing your store, you may have had an app subscription still active, so check your email for any app billing notices.

If you’re officially done with Shopify and using Etsy now, make sure your domain (if you bought one via Shopify) is transferred or canceled, and all app subscriptions are stopped.

Hope that helps! If you need any other assistance, feel free to reply and I will try my best to help.

Best regards,
Daisy
