I keep getting a loading server error 500

Every few minutes I get a Server 500 error, reading,

There’s a problem loading this page

There’s a technical problem with Shopify that has prevented this page from loading. Try reloading this page or going to another page in Shopify. If that doesn’t work, visit our status page for updates and try again later.

No problems with status, but this has been happening for weeks now with both of my shopify sites, and reroutes me back to where I have to choose my store again to reopen, but I don’t have to enter my password, so not getting logged out. This is maddening. What’s the solution please, if anyone has one?

I can absolutely appreciate why this is not an ideal experience and we want to help you resolve this sooner than later. To better understand the issue, can you please share any troubleshooting steps you have tried thus far? Most importantly, have you tried ruling out any local errors?

To do this:

  • Try clearing cache/cookies of current browser
  • Try from a different, up-to-date, browser
  • Try from a different network connection

What I suspect may have happened is that during a previous loading issue, the browser could have cached some errors causing the Admin to glitch locally on your device. We can rule this out together to better determine future troubleshooting steps.

If that does not resolve the issue, please share your browser version and device information with me to see if I can recreate the issue on my end.

Bonjour Mme Olivia. Moi aussi je fais face à ce problème je n’arrive plus à me connecter à ma boutique Shopify depuis maintenant quelques jours. Were you able to get in touch with our Live Team yet? If not, please do that right away so we can begin troubleshooting on your store.

For the record, there don’t seem to be any widespread or intermittent issues impacting stores in that timeframe, which means it is likely a local issue that you can rule out by testing on other browsers and devices as well.

Ich hasse Shopify mittlerweile und hoffe einfach, dass Shopify bald pleitegeht. Ich bin schon auf der Suche nach einem neuen Shop. Immer dieser 500-Server-Error! Eure Praktikanten bauen einfach nur Mist, und ihr seid in meinen Augen sehr, sehr schlecht. Auch euer Service ist schlecht, vor allem euer Support.
