page not loading

Topic summary

Multiple users are experiencing 500 errors when attempting to access their Shopify admin pages, preventing them from logging in or contacting support.

Key Issues:

  • Error persists across different browsers, devices (mobile/desktop), and incognito mode
  • Shopify’s status page shows “all systems operational” despite widespread login failures
  • One user reports the issue affects all four stores they manage

Proposed Solutions:

  • Use a proxy plugin to change IP location to another country (reported as successful workaround)
  • Try incognito mode (though already attempted by some without success)

User Concerns:

  • Frustration that Shopify support provides generic troubleshooting steps rather than acknowledging server-side problems
  • Complaints about recurring stability issues and inadequate status page updates

The discussion remains unresolved with no official response, though one user suggests regional server instability may be the root cause.

My admin page is not loading and keeps giving me a 500 logo with the phrase “page not loaded” and will not allow me to contact anyone when it takes me to the status. I tried a different browser but still nothing

Yet again, Shopify’s status page says “all systems are operational” but 500 error whenever we try to log into any of the four shopify stores we manage.

Yes, shopify “support,” we’ve cleared cache/cookies/history, used a different browser, used incognito windows, mobile vs desktop, etc etc etc etc etc.

500 is an internal error – this is a shopify issue…but shopify isn’t taking responsibility for it, has their “support” staff give useless advice to customers, and can’t even keep their own status page up to date.

These are recurring (not rare) issues with shopify.

Another failure in a long, lone line of shopify shortcomings – definitely do not recommend shopify to any one.

@safelychic Sometimes the server on Shopify is not so stable on some areas I believe, as I meet this kind of situation as well and it keeps loading and returns me a 500 error at last.

The way I access my store admin page finally is to use a proxy plugin and change my IP location to other countries, then I can see the admin page completely.

Recommend you using this method also next time when it happens again.

use incognito mode and login. made be browser issue.
