I have received an email from

The sender claims to be from shopify support team,

The title of the email is

Important: Unlicensed Theme Usage Notification

and the body says

Dear Store Owner,> > We hope this email finds you well. We are writing to bring to your attention a matter of importance regarding your Shopify store. Our system has detected that your store is currently using an unlicensed theme, which is in violation of our Terms of Service and Intellectual Property Policy.> > We understand that this may be an oversight. However, we require your immediate attention to ensure compliance with our policies.> > To avoid any disruptions to your store, we request that you provide the necessary documentation to verify your theme’s licensing within the next 48 hours.> If you believe this is an error or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.> > Please note that failure to comply may result in further action, including store suspension. We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter, and we look forward to resolving this issue amicably.> > Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.> > Best regards,> The Shopify Team.
Why would shopify support team will send an email from @gmail.com domain name?

Is this a valid email or spam?
We have already purchased the theme from themeforest long time back, what this email is saying is just beyond our knowledge.

@hassanpujc It is a spam message, first thing if you have purchased theme from third-party developer from ThemeForest then you will get email from the developer and if you purchased from Shopify theme store then Shopify team will email you. Second thing, if the theme is installed in your store then whatever notice or notification is shown to you, it will go in front of your theme like theme license expired or theme is not valid etc. So no need to worry just ignore the email.
